On sunday afternoon we went to see the
LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomovoc

Oconomovoc Cemetery
Kirkegården i Oconomovoc    Beautiful location!
Et nydelig område!

Stones like this, I've never seen before!

A special marker
En spesiell gravstein    An even more special marker
Og en enda mer spesiell gravstein

I know that  many people from Holden and Lunde had settled in this aerea, Among them my g.grandfathers brother, Harald Haraldsen Buverud, - killed in a driving accident with a horse wagon, only half a year after his arrival. He never got to see his first and only son.

We did hope to see a name we could identify. It was however a huge cemetery, and it was blowing really cold, so we had a rather quick overview.
Suddenly I "stumbled over" this marker

- of my grandmothers cousin, Anne Marie Halvorsdatter Kronborg from Ulefoss. She married Lars Klovholt from Solum.
Anna and Louis Klovholt was their american names.
Under here is a picture, I assume was taken at their golden wedding in 1947.

Anna wrote to her cousin, Thea Hovland, for many years, and also sent photos.
Two of the photos are gatherings of people, and if any who read this knows anybody in the pictures, and can give me a tip who these people are, - please do so!

Their house was a rather big one, - here both in summer and winter.

They only had one child, Esther.

And in 1924.they sent out this invitation for her wedding with Reuben J. Habeck.

This wedding photo is marked by the time who has past - 80 years!
About the groom I know that he was educated pharmacist. The couple met when they attended the same school in 1916. After marriage they settled in St. Paul, and allthough her mother was glad for their happy marriage, Esther was their only daughter, and they longed very much for her, - she do write to cousin Thea.

Anna and Lars died in 1960 and -66.
Esther and Reuben never got any child,
and they both passed away in the midst eighties.
So today all are history..............
